Baptism

With compliments and Happy New Year from EPCSA Tshwane Central and the Phelindaba Parish and hope that you have had wonderful holiday season and you are looking forward to a very Blessed Year in 2009.

BAPTISMAL JOINT SERVICE

Baptismal Joint Service was held on 14 December 2008 where 26 young adults committed their lives to serving and pronouncing on Christ the Redeemer. Reverend Professor DL Mosoma baptized them and also awarded certificates to ten first years whilst the whole church witnessed the high-tempered atmosphere that is synonymous with such events. The church Brass Band proved their mantle by providing soothing sounds that set the church ablaze and got the congregation dancing non-stop.

One year old Sihle Lebone Shongwe was dedicated to Christian life on the same day. Her parents committed to her up bringing in Christian values and principles and to ensure that she attends the Sunday School. Some well dressed young Sunday School members led the procession to the delight of their peers, parents and congregation. The Sunday School teachers were thanked for their dedication and unwavering support.

Madodana Year Function

The Men’s Guild has held their year end function on the 13th of December 2008.

The Apostles' Creed

I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord.
He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended into hell. On the third day he rose again.
He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty.
He will come again to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the dead, and the life everlasting.

Amen.

The Lord's Prayer

Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be your name,
Your kingdom come,
Your will be done, on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins
As we forgive our own debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom,
The power, and the glory are yours, forever.

Amen

The Greatest Commandment

"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind"

This is the great and foremost commandment, and there is a second like it

"You shall love your neighbour as yourself"

The whole Law and Prophets hang on these two commands

Mathew 22:37-40 & Mark 12:28-34
