EPCSA Phelindaba Parish Choir Announcements January 2010

Dear fellow Christians

Seeing that the response for the Men’s` Head Day scheduled for 2010-01-23, is not good for this time, we decided to use this date and the venue for the Church Choir Recruitment Strategic Meeting.

PURPOSE
- To bring all choir members ( Attridgeville and Soulsville members included) together, and strategize for 2010 performances.
- To motivate each other. A person from outside the church choir will be identified as a motivational speaker, and you will be informed of the name of such a person in due cause.
- To discuss the future of the Attridge/Soulsville choir if it still have that capacity to remain in the large category

COMMITMENT
The choristers agreed to contribute the amount of R70-00 per person employed, and R50-00 per person unemployed. Members who are not in the choir are also welcomed at the same rate and employment status.

This commitment was made with horisters from our three chapels, and we want to extend our humble request for the annoucements of this meeting to be made in all our chapels on Sunday church services.

Payment is due on 2010-01-20, and Kevin Ntimane ( 079 880 4744 ) is responsible of collecting these monies.

We appologize for this inconvinience to all members of the Mens Head, but all Mens Head members are still wellcomed to join this recruitment strategic meeting.

WHO TO ATTEND
- All members of the chuch who are willing to join the choir.
- All members of the church who support the choir, and may like to give motivational comments.
- All members of the church who have inputs to make this choir stand-up, as a time will be given for that.
- All visiters you will be having on the said day(2010-01-23)

SPONSORSHIP
One of the issues to be discussed is the sponsorships from within and outside our church. We realized that this choir has the capacity to compose songs and advertice the business of individual people/groups/organisations/companies, etc. who want their business to be known in our church or elsewhere.

DRESS CODE
Is informal, as the formal programme will take not more than 45 minutes, and the rest of the time will be informal; refreshments; dancing etc. untill that late.

DATE/TIME
2010-01-23 at 13:00 untill late

Kind regards

The Apostles' Creed

I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord.
He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended into hell. On the third day he rose again.
He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty.
He will come again to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the dead, and the life everlasting.

Amen.

The Lord's Prayer

Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be your name,
Your kingdom come,
Your will be done, on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins
As we forgive our own debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom,
The power, and the glory are yours, forever.

Amen

The Greatest Commandment

"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind"

This is the great and foremost commandment, and there is a second like it

"You shall love your neighbour as yourself"

The whole Law and Prophets hang on these two commands

Mathew 22:37-40 & Mark 12:28-34
